Jesus Loves to Love you! He adores you. He came to Love with no regard to whether or not that love would be returned! Though we, mankind, have tested and fought it time and time again, there is nothing that could allow us to escape His love. Truthfully speaking, why would we want to escape His love. It is the purest love one could ever receive. Even those who are the closest to you can fail to meet a need expressed through love at times. However, Jesus never fails, that is, Love never fails. He will stick closer to you than anyone possibly ever could, and it is a delight to His heart to do so. If you have a relationship with Jesus, commune with Him even more. If you have never been introduced, there is no time like the present:
Jesus is the son of God, a portion of Him made physical, born through the virgin Mary. His purpose for coming was to reconcile an imperfect world to a perfect, holy God. In order to accomplish this, first, His identity had to be revealed in the world. This revelation came about as He ministered (served). Healing various diseases, teaching, and performing several miracles brought about opportunities for people to begin to perceive the identity of the One of whom the prophets spoke. Next, He had to separate religious doctrine/acts from true faith in action. The pharisees and sadducees were religious men viewed as the authority in spirituality at that time. Unfortunately, they tended to be so focused with the law of God that they did not perceive who Jesus truly was to learn from Him how to truly live lives that actually honored God. In fact, they spearheaded the effort to get Him executed as they saw Him as a threat to their authority and likely feared the Romans’ response to “The King of the Jews”. This facilitated the next major task to be carried out: Jesus Christ sacrificially opting to die on the cross for the sin of every person who has ever committed a sin, in complete opposition to God–> punishable by death, and would accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. The reason Jesus could be this sacrifice is because He did not sin, living life acting only in Love, making Him the perfect sacrifice as payment for the sins, missing the mark, of mankind, including you and I. The acceptance of this sacrifice as payment for past, present, and future sin restored the receiver, you and I, back into relationship with God. Sin has the consequence/penalty of death, but Jesus’ sacrifice is salvation, or deliverance from sin and the death that follows. Jesus then went to hell, putting Satan (our enemy) on notice that death had been conquered, and arose from the grave. He eventually ascended to heaven, now reigning at the right hand of the Father. Furthermore, you will receive the gift of eternal life with the Father, God, becoming a joint heir with Jesus Christ. He even desires to help you throughout life by making His Spirit, which has even more gifts, available to reside within you. These are free gifts! The best gift package we could ever receive and better than anything you could ever purchase! No one can ever take this away!
If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and believe He is who the Bible says He is, these words recited from your heart are sufficient:
Lord Jesus,
I acknowledge that you are the Son of God, I believe that you died on the cross, that your blood was shed for my sins, and that you arose from the grave and conquered death. I understand that I was born a sinner and that I have sinned by not obeying your commandments. I ask you to forgive me for these sins. Please change my heart to be like yours-loving and full of forgiveness. Please teach me by your Word and Spirit how to renew my mind that I will be able to obey your teachings as recorded in the Bible. I ask that you bring people of your choosing to help me on this new path. Be my Savior. Be my Lord. Thank you for saving me from death and giving me new, eternal life, Amen.
